1958 PARTICIPANTS
The preliminary rounds were held on September 16 and 17, 1956. The semi-finals on September 20. The Gala Concert on September 23. Semi-finalists had to offer to the jury at least two oratorio arias, two operas of Mozart or a later composer, and the art songs, two of which had to be by either French or German composers. The demi-finals did not have an obligatory piece to sing. Below we list those demi-finalist known to us, all Dutch ones and also the international ones who made it to the finals. In total, the names of 13 demi-finalists are missing.
