Unique IVC Gala Concerts CD

What the pdf booklet regrettably will not have is the unique extra that the printed booklet has: a CD with winning performers. For those who will remember previous IVC jubilee LP or CD releases, I stress that these are incomparable qualities, since for the first time ever we will make available the actual IVC finals and Gala Concert performances of those chosen to be on the CD rather than using commercial recordings as was previously done. Never have these IVC Gala Concerts been published before, and other than once on the radio they have also never been heard again. For reasons explained in the 1956 audio section, the IVC has never kept track of its own performances, which eventually surfaced in our own 401DutchDivas archives. That unique find along with endless original newspaper cuttings, admission tickets, programs and other memorabilia from the collection of a collector of the first hour, eventually sparked this fascinating project of bringing back to life the full history of the International Vocal Competition (IVC) ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
